Website Comments -- We Don't Care!

Do you read the comment section below a story on your favorite news site or blog? You're in the majority. According to an Ad Age survey, only 15% of us say we enjoy leaving our wonderful opinions on a webpage.

But even though most of us don't comment, most of us do check out the comments already left, and 6 in 10 say we're offended by the "lack of civility" and wish the publisher would do more to monitor what's being allowed in.

Do yourself a favor -- if you ever publish a personal YouTube video, turn OFF the comments section. If you let the world view it, you're going to get the worst of the worst making creepy comments about your family. If you don't believe me, just look at what the lowest common denominator are saying about the "Charlie Bit My Finger" kids. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OBlgSz8sSM

Who Was the Star At Kim Kardashian's Wedding?

This kid...

BTW: If you're counting down the days before watching the wedding on E!, October 9th is your Christmas. It'll be a two part special called "Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event"

Here's a little video from Saturday's ceremony

Shacking Up With Ted Is Bad For Your Kids!

More and more kids live with unmarried couples, and new research released yesterday believes that's not a good thing. The National Marriage Project believes kids struggle in a non-married household because they're less stable than married households. Kids living with mom and her new boyfriend are more likely to use drugs, fall into depression, and drop out of high school.

There is good news out of this report -- divorce rates are down to 1960 levels.

You Need a Vacation -- Away From Your Kids -- NOW!

New research over the weekend found stay-at-home moms fare worse on mental health assessments than their working-mom counterparts - but not by much. It turns out most moms are sort of depressed, working and stay-at-home. The solution -- Achieve happiness by lowering your expectations.

"Women who go into employment expecting it to be difficult — 'I'm going to have to work full time and do the laundry at night,' but who are accepting of that are less likely to be frustrated than women who expect things to be more equal with their partners."
