pop quiz: movie monday

Can you name what movie everyone was talking about on this day in 2005?

Hint: #1 -- this song was on the soundtrack!

Hint #2 -- Who can forget this classic scene?

Answer:  40-year Old Virgin with Steve Carell

joke of the day

Hearing a scream from the playroom, the mother rushed in and found her infant daughter pulling the hair of her four-year-old bother. After separating them, the mother said to her son, “Don’t be upset with your sister, honey. She didn’t know she was hurting you.”

No sooner had the mother returned to he chores than she heard more screaming. This time she rushed in and found the baby crying. “Now what happened?” she asked.

“Nothing,” said the boy, “except that now she knows.”

How Long Should You Wait?

How long should you wait for a proposal?  2-years? 3?  5?  If you're interested in getting married, when should you get real about a proposal before walking away?  Dr. Jane Greer from GalTime.com doesn't have a definitive answer, but she does have some advice for those that are stuck in a ringless relationship.

She says to not take his feet dragging personally.  It most likely has everything to do with him, and not you.  The best course of action is to sit down and talk to him about why he's not ready to move forward.  Try and jointly determine what it might take for him to get beyond his fears, and set goals to help move it along.

Phones/Facebook:  You know you're a good catch.  You'd love to marry him -- but he's not ready.  What's the timeline?  Do you even set one?

12 things guys always do in movies but never in real life

1. Have access to their apartment building roof and a no-shame flair for twinkle-light stringing.

2. Give each other tips on dancing, flirting, and kissing.

3. Make denying that love even exists their "thing."

4. Make bets that involve convincing women to fall in love with them.

5. Have Buddha-like patience when the woman they love does something all-out crazy, such as throwing food around your apartment and turning up your stereo for no good reason.

6. Get over being cheated on superfast-especially in high-stakes scenarios.

7. Fall in love with women wearing masks.

8. Wait for women for hours on their doorstep.

9. Run after women.

10. Run after women through airports.
This one's just prohibited by law.

11. Let girls make a whole speech in the doorway, then open the door to reveal the other girl they're making out with.

12. Remember special dates and return to special places per the terms of an agreement forged years ago on one magical night.

What's worse than a son who video records his mom sleep waking?  A son that posts the footage on YouTube.  A guy that goes by the name StillSoundlyAwake uploaded a video of his mother sleepwalking and sleeptalking.  She's complaning that the tomato cage wouldn't open.

When mom is wide awake, he shows her the footage.
