joke of the day

A schoolteacher's son brought his report card home. The father said; let's see what you have accomplished. He opens the report and to his dismay sees all bad grades. What do you have to say about this Johnny? Well dad at lease you know I'm not cheating.

3 Ways to Know If Your Relationship is In Trouble

1)  You're doing a lot of cost-benefit analyses

You start thinking about what you put into your relationship, and what you're getting in return.

2)  You're conducting an imaginary marriage

You start wondering what it would be like to be married to the guy sitting across from you instead of your current husband.  You have imaginary relationship happening where the two of you never argue about toilet paper or money -- because it doesn't exist in your fantasy.

3)  You're building a second home

When your partner doesn't meet all of your needs, you start looking for ways to fill your time.  You join a book club and make book club friends.  You join a gardening club and have gardening friends.  Add to it the PTA and weekly drinks with office friend and you'e building an entire "house" for your emotional life.

Why you're not the boss

Ladies, if you think you should be further ahead at work, new research says to blame yourselves.

Northwestern University researchers, through experiments conducted with MBA students, discovered that when students picked leaders, the leaders usually ended up being men.  Why?  Were the men more qualified?  Hardly!

It turns out that men like to brag, and bragging about yourself gets you places.

"Research found that men were more willing to overstate their own ability, which, in turn, led to their selection as group leaders."

Researchers believe that companies need to account for workers that brag, so the most qualified person gets the job.

Facebook/Phones:  Or...maybe women need to step up and boast a little?  Is it a company's responsibility to issue a personality test every time a position opens up in management?

Send video email!  Just surf here, click record, and send.  No uploading to YouTube or attaching a file.  Pretty cool way to send a quick video to a friend, the wife, or grandma.  There's also a way to tweet the message, as well.

That's me sending a quick video
message to my wife who has been in
Charlotte all week covering the DNC.

Why?

Why would you touch a classic?  Can't Hollywood leave priceless treasures alone?  They made a sequel to A Christmas Story, and it looks horrible.
