Today is National Chili Dog Day, National Milk Chocolate Day and Terry Fox Day. Terry raised $24-million for cancer research by running 3,328 miles on an artificial leg in 1980. He died a year later of cancer at age 23.
Looking back...
- Lee Majors married Farrah Fawcett on this day in 1973
- In 1998, four people in Chandler, AZ, lifted a 24-hundred pound car high enough for a 13-year old boy trapped underneath to crawl out.
- You may not of heard of that event because it was also on this day in 1998 that Monica Lewinsky was given total immunity from prosecution in exchange for her grand jury testimony in the investigation of her relationship with President Bill Clinton.
- Lance Armstrong won his fourth straight Tour de France on this day in 2002
Cuttin' Cake

Cars are the #1 thing we complained about in 2010. The latest consumer complaint list is out from the Consumer Federation of America, and faulty auto repairs, shady car advertisements and buying lemons were our #1 complaint. For the rest of the list, head here
Joke of the Day
A little boy went to his teacher to tell her he found a frog.
The teacher asked if it was alive or dead.
The little boy said that it was dead.
The teacher asked how he knew.
The boy said , "I pissed in its ear."
The teacher said, "You what?"
He said, "You know, I went to his ear and said, 'psst!' and it didn't move. So it must be dead."
Surf This!
The American Idol tour is red hot, so I thought it would be a good time to hit up the official Idol tour page with tour photos, videos, fan photos, and even a free news letter. Head here.
This and That
The NerveKat Von D stormed out of a TV studio minutes before an interview yesterday because they had the nerve to bring up Jesse James, the guy she just dumped. The "Good Day L.A." crew aired a clip sent into wide release by her own network, TLC, of her getting a tatttoo of Jesse James name. After she stormed out, she tweeted: "Dear GoodDayLA, thanks for the waste of a perfectly good morning. Lack of compassion n respect for eachother never fails to dissappoint me." source/a>

Science Found the Saddest Movie Scene Ever
A scientist and his students studied how movie scenes elicit emotions from their test subjects, and found the heart-wrenching scene from 1979's "The Champ" drew the strongest sad emotions. On the other end, the most amusing responses came from the orgasm scene in When Harry Met Sally."
