Looking to Get Lucky? Don't See Coldplay!

Don't count on scoring if you're on a first date at a Coldplay concert. According to a new survey, Coldplay fans are least likely to have sex on a first date than fans of other acts.

A dating website tried to match potential partners based on their taste in music. They were asked how far they'd go on a first date, and then matched those answers to their taste in music. Here's what they discovered:

Least Likely to 'go all the way'

1. Coldplay
2. Adele
3. Lady Gaga
4. Katy Perry
5. Kings Of Leon

Most Likely

1. Nirvana
2. Metallica
3. Linkin Park
4. Kanye West
5. Gorillaz

Good Grades Means $$$

Is it a good idea to pay kids for good grades? That one has been debated by parents for a long, long time. Well here's a new twist -- the government pays your kid for good grades. Good idea?

Two state senators in North Carolina want to set up a two year study to look at the pros and cons of using money as a learning incentive. They think it will not only get students motivated to learn, but it may also get uninvolved parents to help their kids out a little more with homework.

Reaction from students:

"That would be a brilliant idea. I think everyone would get good grade"

"That would motivate not only me but I'm sure a lot of people to stay in school."

Reaction from parents:

"Kids should be encouraged to learn for the sake of learning. There's not always going to be someone there to pay you for doing the right thing, and I think they should learn that there's other rewards for doing that."

"I don't really think it's the government's place to offer my kids money..."

What do you think? Think back to your school days --- would this have helped you crack a book and study after school?  Would you have done better or the same in school?
