OPPORTUNITY

This would explain how some partners can cheat on their spouses when everything seems fine at home.  The more the opportunity presents itself, the more difficult it becomes to resist the temptation.   Some specialists believe that couples should limit all outside relationships with the opposite sex to avoid this possibility.

TO AVOID CONFLICT

Many couples use an affair as a way to avoid communicating with their partner about their needs at home.  Sometimes conversations with a partner end up in endless loops of frustration and conflict.

SEXUAL VARIETY

No one wants to hear that their partner cheated because they were bored.  But the reality is that we all need adventure and novelty in a relationship to keep it alive. The way to avoid this type of affair is to focus on shaking things up in your love life every week.

Childhood abuse, trauma and having parents who cheated can create sexual compulsivity.   This person may need therapy to heal from their wounds.

• George Michael is headed off to jail.  The singer was sentenced yesterday in London to eight weeks in prison for driving while under the influence of drugs.  Michael crashed his Range Rover into a photo shop on July 4th.  The judge told him he had taken a "dangerous and unpredictable mix" of prescription drugs and marijuana. source

• A study by the Wall Street Journal found large private and public companies prefer to recruit at large state schools rather than smaller, more prestigious universities.  They're looking for grads with practical skills like engineering and business rather than "soft" ones like critical thinking and communication.  So basically they're looking for someone who's not dumb enough to pay $100-thousand a year for an education?  Sounds right to me! more
  
  
• Bad:  Man in Florida got bit on his remaining arm by an alligator he was trying to rescue.  Worse:  He lost his first arm after falling on an electric fence while trying to rescue some baby birds.  Worser:  The guy was cited by police for possession of an alligator.  Worser Worser:  The alligator will have to be euthanized because it bit him.  Some days it's not even worth getting out of bed!  more
