Photographers tracked down honeymooners Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher in Tahiti where insiders say they've been snorkeling with sharks and relaxing.  They arrived July 12th and were greeted with Juice in coconut shells.  Witnesses say they won't "let go of each other's hands when they were escorted to their bungalow...they looked very much like happy and excited newlyweds."  The two wed on July 10th.

They're calling it the "recession's answer to the Beanie Baby."  The Hugmeez is a plush stuffed monster with big outstretched arms and wide smile.  They're targeted at adults who need a little comfort as the economy limps along.  Of course, our pain is Hugmeez gain.  The company can't crank enough out at $15 to $25 a pop.

The annual Comic-Con International kicks off in San Diego on Thursday.  The event celebrating everything comic started 40 years ago with a three-day event that drew 300 people.  This year, 125-thousand people will gather in San Diego's convention center, and most will dress as their favorite character.  Great article on Comic-Con's history here

• Lindsay Lohan reports to jail today at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles.  The facility is no stranger to celebrity guests.  Other tenants have included Daryl Hannah, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Klohe Kardashian.  Lohan will live in isolation "for her own safety," according to AP.  She is supposed to search 90 days, but could be out in 3 weeks, just in time for the premiere of her movie "Machete."  more
  
  

• 5 cast members of "Jersey Shore" have gone on strike.  JWoww, Ronnie, Sammi, Pauly D and Vinny feel $10-grand an episode is not enough.  "The Situation" and "Snooki" were on set yesterday.  MTV has no comment.  more

• Tim Robbins has a new album coming out later this year inspired by a recent mid-life crisis.  He told a radio station in London that it happened just before his split with Susan Sarandan two years ago.  "I asked myself the question, "What is it that will make you happy?
