1987! It was an ad for Playtex. Believe it or not, before 1987, lingerie was modeled on television only on mannequins or by women wearing the undergarments over their clothes.

Happy Teacher's Day!
For teachers only:
- Biggest parental pet peeves! Mom and dad's drive you up the wall when they do (what)?

How about the person in the office that CC's everyone involved before talking to you personally about a problem. Today we're more wired to snap while reading email -- why? Simple - we hold our breath while cranking out e-mails. When we hold our breath, our brain gets deprived of oxygen which induces our flight or fight response. This can cause an unwanted email war.
5 ways to avoid an email war:
- Back away from the computer
- Do not put a name or CC's in address bar
- Vent offline
- Give people the benefit of the doubt
- Adopt a get curious outlook (ask "what am I really reacting to?")

When should you have just "let it go"?
Sometimes it's better to just take a loss and walk away. Should you really climb that tree to get the kite? Is climbing on your steep roof worth it for a free Frisbee?
Here's an example of when to 'let it go': A man in Calgary was flown to the hospital in critical condition after he received a giant shock while launching model rockets. It seems his rocket became stuck on a power line, and instead of just calling it a day, the 48-year-old-old-enough-to-know-better man set up a 24 foot ladder and went for it. He was zapped and fell to the ground. He's in critical condition this morning.
