Dotty came into the office all aflutter about her husband, “You won’t believe this, Terry, but George takes a fishing- pole into the bathroom and tosses the hook into the tub.”

“You’ve got to be kidding,” gasped Terry. “Don’t you think you should take him to a psychiatrist?” “No time,” replied Dotty with a shrug. “I’m too busy cleaning fish.

Surviving the Holidays

Lots of holiday parties coming up... The worst thing you can do is combine drinking with cigarettes! The two apparently give you a nasty hangover, according to science. Researchers studied two groups that drank the same number of drinks, except one group also smoked while drinking. They found the smokers suffered worse hangovers, with bigger headaches, fatigue, nausea, and lack of concentration.

9 ways to de-stress during the holidays... Here are 9 ways to take the edge off the holiday craziness:

  1. Work up a sweat (translation: exercise!)
  2. Wake up with the sun (keep your curtains open and let the sunlight wake you up)
  3. Switch off the electronics (turn off the iPad and turn on some holiday tunes)
  4. Take time for some tea (herbal tea to beat the winter blues)
  5. Light the candles (low lights and aeromatherapy)
  6. Make time for friends and family (slow down and actually enjoy their company)
  7. Raid your dark chocolate stash (small pieces of dark chocolate have fat-burning properties and antioxidents)
  8. Make a gratitude list (give thanks and share it with your loved ones)
  9. Eat vitamin C rich foods (the big C has been proven to reduce both physical and mental symptoms of stress.)

10 annoying habits men need to kick

YourTango.com is annoyed, and they want guys to stop what annoys them... here they are:
  1. Planning spontaneous trips
  2. Falling asleep after..you know...
  3. Not listening
  4. Leaving the toilet seat up
  5. Leaving toenail clippings and beard shavings around
  6. Having friends you don't like
  7. Displaying a poor sense of style
  8. Treating the server poorly
  9. Using his cell phone on a date
  10. Trying something pretty uncomfortable in bed

Facebook/Phones: It's unfathomable to think that anything women do could possibly annoy men, but can we come up with a few? Here's a few:
  • Remembering every detail about every conversation we've ever had
  • Leaving the toilet seat down
  • Pretending you don't like Justin Bieber
  • Sounding awesome, fun, and upbeat on the phone, but turn into something totally different once we get home.
  • Criticizing our poor sense of style. The same style we had when we met, dated, got engaged, and married.
Anything to add?

Is is okay for a woman to propose? Nope!

Some things never change --  Students at UC Santa Cruz were asked who should propose marriage, the man, the woman, or does it matter? Two-thirds of men and women said "definitely" the guy should propose. Only 2.8% of the women said they'd "kind of" want to propose.

The results from this liberal leaning campus are even more surprising when you see that 60% of women say they are "very willing" or "somewhat willing" to take their husband's last name. What about the guys? Would they change their name? Nope. 64% say they are "very unwilling" to change their name.
