This was the year of the slow-jam... these three songs were hits during what year?
Boys II Men, Janet Jackson, and Mariah Cary -- all with huge hits in...
- 1990
- 1992
- 1994
Answer: 1994! We slowed it down big time in 1994...here are the top 10 songs of the year:
- The Sign, Ace of Base (kind of upbeat...kind of)
- I Swear, All 4 One
- I'll Make Love To You, Boys II Men
- The Power of Love, Celine Dion
- Hero Mariah Carey
- Stay (I Missed You), Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories
- Breathe Again, Toni Braxton
- All for Love, Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting
- All That She Wants, Ace of Base
- Don't Turn Around, Ace of Base
Funny how all the (sort-of) upbeat hits came from one group -- and where are they now?
joke of the day
In 1940 two men were flying from New York to Los Angeles on what was then a new DC-3. The left New York and when they landed in Philadelphia, a red truck drove up to put fuel into the wing.A little while later, they landed in Pittsburgh and, again, a red truck pulled up to fill the tanks with fuel.
Each time they landed to discharge or take on passengers, a red truck would pull up and add fuel to the tanks. Finally, after landing in Kansas City and seeing truck pull up again, one said to the other, "we sure are making good time."
Said the other, "yes, we are, and so is that red truck!"
Facebook Phony
Should we live on pure trust, or is it healthy to challenge your relationship? A woman, admittedly jealous by nature, set up a fake Facebook account to find out if her husband is cheating. She used his ex-girlfriend's picture and name to set up a fake Facebook account, and then proceeded to flirt with her husband wondering if he would take the bait and meet up somewhere.
So far, the husband hasn't taken the bait (thank goodness!)
So what's your take? If you suspected your husband was a potential cheater, would you set up a sting operation? Have you? How did that turn out?

3 Reasons Why Miley Should Not Get Married
YourTango.com broke down three reasons that Miley Cyrus, who was recently engaged to Liam Hemsworth.#1 - She's a kid. She's 19 and still views life through rose-colored glasses where everything is cute. That will not land you Happily Ever After, however. Marriage is more complicated than just playing house and celebrating anniversaries with extravagant gifts.
#2 - She'll get divorced. Just look at the divorce rate -- 41% for first marriages, and 27.6% for women under 20 years old. That's the second highest divorce rate for an age group just after those who get married between 20 and 24 years old.
#3 - It's Hollywood, people! Celebrity marriages rarely last. It's almost as if she's getting married for the big party and photos (that they can sell for big bucks). It's not as much about love as it is about a "look at me" mentality.
