Video: Tips and Tricks
Well, here ya go. My first edition of 'tips and tricks'. This will kick off a series of videos featuring technology that helps me as a solo radio personality. Most of the people that read this blog (at least the ones I communicate with via email) are on their own -- no producer, sidekick or newsperson. Still, you're expected to perform at the level of the big shows... I know, because that's where I am, too.So I thought we could get together and swap ideas on how to survive using technology found on the web for PC and mobile. Here ya go... let me know what you think, and of course, if there's a piece of technology or website you use every day that has made your job easier, let me know! Thanks! Joke of the Day
Sally was trying hard to get the ketchup out of the bottle. During her struggle the phone rang so she asked her 5-year-old daughter to answer the phone. “Mommy can’t come to the phone to talk to you right now. She’s hitting the bottle.”Dogs That Will Get You a Date
A survey from a pet lovers website discovered which dogs will make you appear more attractive at the park or beach...
Top 5 that made women more attractive
5. Beagle
4. Poodle
3. Chihuahua
2. Labrador Retriever
1. Golden Retriever
Top five that made men more attractive
5. French Bulldog
4. Siberian Huskie
3. Labrador Retriever
2. Golden Retriever
1. German Shepherd
Interesting note: Guys that walk bulldogs are perceived by women as more of a "hook up" than a man who owns a Pit Bull or Lab, and a majority of men think that a woman who owns a Chihuahua is more likely to be dumb.

9 Ways to Lose a Guy In 9 Minutes
First impressions mean everything -- so here's how to drive someone interesting away in just minutes:- Make it all about you (Rattle on about your day, your friends, your family, and don't ask him a single question.)
- Make it all about him (Pepper him with questions to make him feel like he's in the hot seat))
- Scan the room (Constantly survey the room; make him feel like he's not good enough)
- Chug your drinks (slam your drinks to send the wrong signal)
- Bring up your ex
- Repeatedly insist on paying (deny his ego a chance to pay)
- Laugh ... a lot. (Giggle non stop)
- Vent about work. (Every job has your stresses, so dump them all on the guy you just met)
- List your accomplishments. (Boast about everything you've every accomplished. Try and one-up him with your expertise.)
Women Have Bigger Waistlines. Lack of Housework to Blame
Since the 1950's, women's waistlines have grown 6-inches, and a new report blames housework -- or the lack of it. It seems housewives 60 years ago would burn 1,000 calories doing housework. Today it's much less while the calories consumed are much more. 2,178 compared to 1,818.The authors of this study claim that "improved appliances had significantly reduced the time and effort women spend on housework." They mention nothing about the percentage of women that work outside the home in 2012 (70% source), which may be a reason fewer hours are spent on housework. Of course, men are doing more housework than ever -- and their waistlines aren't shrinking, are they? Could another reason be the convenience of food in the form of drive-thru's and take out?
Phones/Facebook: If you could take one burden out of your life every day (driving, housework, email, for example) what would it be?
