In the News...
Kat Von D revealed on her Facebook page that Jesse James cheated on her 19 times (Well, c'mon, it's not like they were married! He would never do that if he were mar... oh, wait a minute.)Well how about this... The lawyer for accused pedophile Jerry Sandusky reportedly impregnated a teenage girl more than a decade ago. (Um, will we be holding two trials here?)
Yikes! A nasty virus is causing hardcore pornography to pop up on Facebook! Facebook says they're currently investigating the matter (As will I, and I'll report back in several hours)
Relationships
A Stretch?
I asked whether you'd date a guy that still lives at home with his parents. You overwhelmingly said --- no. Well, not so fast, according to YourTango.com. They say there are 4, count 'em, FOUR reasons to give men living with their parents a chance. Make up your own mind...- Different men live at home for different reasons. Maybe he's helping out his parents, saving money (student loans anyone?) or was just fired and needs time to get back on his feet.
- Their earnings and benefits match those of men on their own. In 2009, a UK study found a man's "earnings or benefits were the same as those who had left home and taken on greater social responsibility.
- The lack of privacy forces you to be spontaneous. Sure, you guys can't get too crazy (or have to be really, really quiet) when his mom and dad are right downstairs, but why limit yourselves to the bedroom anyway? Now you have the perfect excuse to get it on in crazier locales, such as the park or a dressing room
- It'll help you get in good with his parents. What's better for the longevity of your relationship than a great relationship with his parents? By spending more time in their house, you get a better feel for who they are, as well as their likes and dislikes.
So? Make sense?
How many Partners Is "Too Many"?
In a survey on HowAboutWe.com, men worry more about "their number" than women. In fact, more men are concerned that having more sexual partners will hurt their chances at finding love. Awwwwe. So how many people have the average man and woman been with?Men - 22.2
Women - 15.4
Sound about right? Well how about your threshold, meaning the point where you feel like you've had TOO MANY partners. It's different, very different, for men and women:
Men - 29.2
Women - 20.3
Interesting that almost half of us claim NOT to have a personal threshold while 11% don't give a hoot what their personal number is.
Things Men Don't Get About Women
Cosmo started a trending topic on Twitter for guys: #LadiesWeWantAnswers. Here are a few things that make guys scratch their heads:
- "If you don't trust the women that are our friends, is it because you know how you would be?"
- "Why do y'all spend all that money on makeup?"
- "Why do you want a bad boy?"
- "Why do you take relationship advice from your single friend who can never keep a man?"
- "[You really think] the silent treatment is good way to teach your boyfriend a lesson?"
- You keep [saying you don't want] men with drama, but it seems like you crave the drama..."
- "Why do you get mad when we leave the toilet seat up? Do you go into the bathroom and not look back before you sit down?"
Joke of the Day
An elderly woman decided to have her portrait painted. She told the artist, "Paint me with diamond earrings, a diamond necklace, emerald bracelets, a ruby broach, and a gold Rolex.""But you are not wearing any of those things," replied the artist.
"I know," she said. "It's in case I should die before my husband. I'm sure he will remarry right away, and I want his new wife to go crazy looking for the jewelry."
