"james jay lee"

Police say James Jay Lee was the man who stormed the Discovery Channel building in Silver Spring, Maryland yesterday to protest the network's environmental programming.  He took three hostages while wearing what appeared to be a bomb until police shot and killed him just before 5 p.m.  All hostages are fine.  The explosive device may have detonated.  More here: http://fxn.ws/bsc1IF

"apple tv"

Critics seemed to be underwhelmed with Apple's new TV gadget that was unveiled to the world yesterday.  The Apple TV device fits in the palm of your hand, and plugs directly into your television set bringing web to TV.  The device allows you to rent TV shows and movies, and also allows you to watch YouTube vid's and see slides of home photos.  Critics were looking for more; possibly a device that download apps similar to an iPhone or iPad.  http://bit.ly/dwVr5W

"itunes 10"

Along with tweaking all of their famous iPods, Apple also announced some changes to your iTunes software -- iTunes 10 will include "Ping."  Ping takes your love of music into social network world.  It let's you follow artists and friends, post comments, find a concert, and even tell everyone the show you're attending.  It's kind of like Twitter and Facebook, but for music, and only for iTunes.  The download is available starting today. http://bit.ly/9o1Ejj

Michael Douglas talked about his battle against stage 4 throat cancer with David Letterman Tuesday night.  And he said that although the had the most advanced stage, he's optimistic about recovering.  He says his main concern is keeping the cancer in his throat, and not anywhere else - "the big thing you're always worried about is it spreading," he said.  Watch video: http://bit.ly/afbLAe

What is your Coinstar record?

Get this - a man in China just bought a van just from the loose pocket change he saved over the years.  Mr. Zhao, a businessman, saved the change he collected from his customers at his printing business and bought the vehicle for $14,700.  It took a while to find a dealership that would accept the small notes, and the one that did had to bring in extra staff to count the money.

Everyone's dumped money into those Coinstar machines, right?  How much is your record, and how long did you hog the machine? http://bbc.in/dkjkbL
