All you'll see is election coverage from all the major networks tonight. They're live starting at 8pm until who knows when. The only exception is the CW which will air reruns of Arrow and Emily Owens, M.D.

joke of the day

For weeks a five-year-old child kept telling his kindergarten teacher about the baby sister or brother that was expected at his house. One day the mother allowed the child to feel the movements of the unborn baby. The five-year-old was obviously impressed, but made no comment. Moreover, he stopped telling the teacher about the awaiting event. Finally the teacher sat the child on her lap and said, “Lucas, whatever has become of that baby brother or sister you were expecting at home? “Lucas burst into tears and confessed, “I think Mommy ate it!”

Will your relationships survive the election

A survey by the Rasmussen group found 27% of us say that today's election has negatively affected our personal relationships with friends or family.
  • 45% of us have gotten into a heated argument with a friend or family member about the election
  • Men are much more likely to get into a verbal scrum than women

Of course, Twitter and Facebook doesn't help matters -- with almost 6 out of 10 adults using social media today, politics is bound to come up. That doesn't mean they'll listen to your political rants, though -- it turns out one-in-five of us have blocked, unfriended, or hidden a friend because of their political views.

On the other hand, the same survey found that 16% of us have actually changed our minds about a political issue after a friend's post about the topic.

Facebook/Phones:  Is yours a politically divided house?  How have you managed to survive?
