pop quiz: tv theme tuesday

It's a brand new, and very weird show, on ABC.... can you name it just by the theme?

Play

Answer:  The Neighbors!

joke of the day

A young man looking to get married asked his friend. "Every woman I bring home to meet my parents, my mother doesn't like."
"Oh, that's easy," his pal replied. "All you have to do is find someone whos' just like your mother." "I did that already," he said, "and that one my father didn't like."

What does it mean to "have it all?"

A new survey from Citi and LinkedIn found 96% of women think they can "have it all" when it comes to family, money, and a successful career.

So what does "having it all" actually mean?  Two things, according to most women in this survey

  1. Being in a loving relationship
  2. Having enough money to do what they want

That's having it all.  The research found most women want a job they can enjoy and a boss that values their work.  Only 15% wanted to be the boss.  Top financial worries were paying off student loans, saving for retirement, credit card debt, and paying for their children's needs.

Facebook/Phones:  For you, "having it all" boils down to what?   Or... Does this whole idea of "having it all" drive you crazy?  After all, there's never a study about men "having it all," is there?

Women love red!

So this is how Bill Clinton works his magic!  It turns out a guy with a red nose and rosy glow signals perceived aggression, dominance, and attractiveness to women.

I thought it signaled alcoholism, but nooooo.... (but, seriously, maybe)

In a study, a bunch of women were asked to use a computer to change the color of male faces to make them more attractive, and most of them went for more reddish glow.

Keep in mind, this was skin tone and not hair... Red hair still means evil.  Maybe not (but, seriously, maybe).

Possible phoner

Strangest place your GPS ever led you?  After a 5 hour trip, my wife and I ended up on the opposite end of town from the wedding we were supposed to attend.  This just proves two things:

  1. Paper maps are not obselete
  2. Nothing puts a marriage to the test like getting lost after 5-hours in the car.

But always remember the old saying:  "Men don’t get lost; they discover alternative destinations."

Men get a bad rap for...

From the Huffington Post:  "What Men Really Wnat -- and Don't.  Six Myths Debunked"

Myth #1:  Men don't listen
Myth #2:  Men want to be in control
Myth #3:  Men always want sex
Myth #4:  Men can't be monogamous
Myth #5:  Men are not into foreplay
Myth #6:  Men need to be the breadwinner

More on each can be found here

Phoners/FacebooK;  Coming from a guy, there are stereotypes that are true -- yes, we can't keep track of when the kid's have their picture day at school, or when the fundraising money is due.... but  we do get a bad rap when it comes to a lot of things.  For example -- we want our wives to stay home, barefoot and in the kitchen.  That is not true.  We want you to wear shoes in the kitchen -- KIDDING!  We want our wives to be happy working, or not working!  What are some other things we get a bad rap for, guys?
