joke of the day
Late one night a mugger wearing a ski mask jumped into a path of a well-dressed man and stuck a gun in his ribs "give me your money," he demanded. Indignant, the affluent man replied, "you can't do this – I am a United States congressman!" "In that case," replied the mugger, "give me MY money."
Fastest of the fast
If you're hungry and in a hurry, hit up a Wendy's! Wendy's topped a QSR magazine survey of the fastest drive-thru restaurants. On average, it takes 129.75 seconds to grab a meal through a Wendy's drive-thru. Burger King, on the other hand, takes FOREVER! A full 201.33 seconds, or 3-minutes and 20 seconds.
You would think with all that extra time, the King would rank high on accuracy in this survey -- but not so. BK had the worst accuracy ratings of any of the seven fast-food joints surveyed. They got their order correct 83% of the time. Chick-fil-A got it right 92.4% of the time.
Burger King, as if it couldn't get worse, also ranked last on the "friendly" scale. Only 27.4% of respondents said their experience was "very pleasant," and 34.3% called it "very pleasant.
Facebook/Phones: Who has the greatest drive-thru in town... it's like they know you're comin'.
Gotta see this
What turns you on, brains or brawn? If you're hoping for both, here's a guy that can do one handed push-ups while solving a Rubik's Cube in 15 seconds. Proof.
Now You've Seen Everything
Caught on tape -- a school kid getting bullied, during a TV news story about bullying. "The student came up to me and pushed me out of the way and said, 'What are you recording?'" What was seen on tape was the student running away from the bully. Watch
The victims mom told the reporter that she hopes the school now takes this more seriously than they have.
The comments in this Gawker story are interesting... many say that we need to quit focusing on the bullies, and more on how to stand up to them.
"Bullying is a part of human life. Kids need to learn to stand up for themselves...and maybe kick a little (butt) every once in a while."
Facebook/phones: Is there a point here? Would your kid get in trouble for giving a bully a bloody nose?
Smelly gym shoes means more money!
A CNN Money survey found people that exercise tend to make more money. Men who exercise three or more times a week earn 6% more than their colleagues... for women, it was 10% more. Researchers credit the post-workout high for the increase in productivity.
