Divorced and Dating - 5 Mistakes

If you're divorced and afraid to start dating -- you shouldn't be.  In fact, according to a certified divorce coach, you should get out there, but avoid these 5 common mistakes women make when dating after divorce:

Dating too soon after the divorce -- Work through any self esteem and personal issues, and don't date because the ex already has a new girlfriend.

Being afraid to go solo -- Go to movie, have dinner at a bar, or go to a concert -- ALONE.  A woman alone is approachable, confident and mysterious.

Being someone other than your "genuine self" on a first date -- Put on some upbeat music or romantic music before heading out on a date and be positive.  If you had a bad day, cancel the date.

Breaking plans to date -- Don't mess with your schedule to fit in dating.  If you're taking a class, don't miss the class to date.  Date around your activities.

Burning bridges if you don't feel "sparks" -- If there are no sparks, but you have fun, keep them as a friend.  Sparks can disappear, but friendships are forever.

How to Teach A Kid to Ride a Bike -- HIRE OUT!

A blogger on Mommyish.com wrote about how her 9-year old daughter finally learned how ride a bike -- she hired someone to do it for her.  Why?  Because she was terrified (and so was her husband) of doing it herself.  She says she hired out for swimming lessons -- so what's the difference here?

54% of parents say they give their kids an allowance -- 54% started doing so when their kids turned 8.  How much?  A new survey found kids are getting an average of $65...A MONTH.  

Most parents say their kids earn their allowance by doing chores -- at least an hour a week.
