Stressed Out

Our stress level has been mapped between 1983 and 2009, and the news isn't good. As you might expect, stress levels for both men and women have shot up dramatically; 25% for men, and 18% for women. Women feel greater stress overall, though. There is good news -- stress lowers as we get older. Folks in their 20's were more stressed than those in their 30's, and so on.

That's Rubbish!

I don't know about you, but my blood pressure skyrockets every time I see someone throw trash out of their car window. We've all witnessed it -- the slob that opens his/her window and pitches their Burger King bag to the side of the road... why?

Well it turns out there are a log of slobs out there -- a survey found one-in-five of us lob rubbish out of the car. Cigarette smokers are the worst, discarding 29 million cigarette butts from windows last year. After that, it's 7.4 million food items, including wrappers, that end up on the road.

Mars, the chocolate people, released their four annual "America's Manliest Cities" study which proves guys on the east and west coast are little babies, because the Midwest and South dominate the top 10.

The number of home improvement stores, steak houses, and manly occupations per capita in each city were factored into rankings. #1 on the list: Oklahoma City! "From its stellar hoops team to its love of pick-up trucks, Oklahoma City exemplifies the best of being a man," say the Mars people. Here are the top 10:

Rumor:

Microsoft will reveal a tablet computer today. The tablet will host its new Windows 8 operating system. Stay tuned. PC World says Microsoft is smart to get in the tablet game:

But there's no reason the company couldn't go for it: Add in its own content stores, for acquiring apps, movies, and music, and Microsoft has a solid recipe to compete head-to-head against Apple -- and against Amazon and Google for that matter."

Cringe

I think the worst-wedding moment of the season has been captured on video. A bride, for some cringe-worthy reason, decides to sing a cheesy love song that she wrote for her groom... as she walks down the aisle.
