Worth a Mention

Great idea or giant cry for attention?
Last week, Nadine Schweigert married herself. Yes, you heard right, she married...herself.

In front of 45 friends and family in Fargo, ND, the 36-year-old divorced mother of three vowed to "enjoy inhabiting my own life and to relish a lifelong love affair with my beautiful self." The bride and her inner-groom then exchanged rings, and departed on a solo honeymoon to New Orleans.
I just hope she doesn't come home early from work one day to discover herself cheating with an actual human!

Phones/Facebook:
Is she making a mockery of marriage, or is this an idea you would consider for yourself (and your biggest love -- you!)

It's the adult version of the "no girls allowed" sign outside the tree house. An Australian brewery signed a three year lease for an island in the Great Barrier Reef that will be used as a resort for GUYS ONLY.

XXXX beer is taking over Pumpkin Island, a one-square mile plot of land with a one-hole golf course. 30 guys at a time will be able to rent the entire resort for around $1700 per night. The company hopes to turn it into the "ultimate destination for mates."

A new study seems to think people that have wandering minds actually have sharper brains. The research found that those who appear to be constantly distracted have more "working memory" giving them the ability to do two things at the same time.

So the next time your boss wakes you up from a good daydream during a meeting, tell him you're sharpening your "working memory."

Dude, Bobbi Kristina is engaged to her brother... no joke. Us Weekly has confirmed that Bobbi Kristina Brown, daughter of the late Whitney Houston, is engaged to Nick Gordon, a guy that was raised in her house by Whitney, although never formally adopted.

"The situation is beyond sad," according to a source. Nick moved in with Bobbi Kristina and Whitney when he was 12, and "they were raised like they were brother and sister."

You make the call: Creepy? Or is it a marriage that will succeed because the two have lived together for years! That even sounds creepy.

3 Tips To Get Paid What You're Worth!

This advice comes from GalTime.com... 3 steps for a woman to get paid what she's worth.

#1 Negotiate your salary upfront

57% of men entering the workforce negotiate their salaries, while only 7% of women do.... could that help explain the pay gap? Go online and get a sense for what other people make in your position, and then ask for it. All they can say is no.
#2 Don't undervalue yourself: the entitlement effect

The biggest difference between men and women when it comes to salary is expectation. Men believe they're entitled and consequently negotiate better conditions for themselves.

#3 Be your own advocate throughout your career

Stay visible and continue pursuing raises, opportunities, and assignments that you feel you deserve. Don't downplay your accomplishments.

Joke of the Day

An elephant was walking in a park. With each step he took, he squished many little ants. Upset, the ants began to crawl up on the elephant -- first his legs and then up all over his body. When the elephant started feeling all the little ants on him, he shook hard, making all the little ants, except for one, fall to the ground. As the only ant on the elephant hung on close to the elephant's neck, the ones on the ground began to yell, "Strangle him!!! Strangle him!!!"
