Worst airline for pet deaths: Delta! The U.S. Dep't of Transportation found that 19 of the 35 air-travel-related pet deaths in 2011 took place in baggage holds of Delta planes. That's a 16% increase from 2010. A spokesman for Delta says they're "working to imporve the processes and procedures to ensure that every pet arrives safely." Now to be fair, Delta transports more pets than any other airline, and several of the pets had medical problems before boarding, were very old in the first place, or died even before being put on the plane. A poll from fitness magazine found a whopping one-third of us claim we have no vices whatsoever. It's obvious that LYING is the worst vice of 1/3rd in this latest survey. Let's break down some of us admit to doing:

Dirty Linoleum Floors

Mix chlorine bleach with water and apply it with a wet mop letting it soak for 45 minutes. Then, the hard part, get down on your hands and knees and start scrubbing. Rinse with cool water and then mop with a mixture of one cup of white vinegar per gallon of water to neutralize the bleach.

Sticky Kitchen Cabinets

Mix equal parts of Murphy's Oil Soap with water and a dash of paint thinner until the mixture looks milky white. Wearing rubber gloves, rub the solution over the wood with a soft cloth. Wipe clean with a dry paper towel.

Stained Carpets

For deep stains that have been there for years, try this technique and see if you have any luck. Apply a red-dye remover like Carbona Stain Devil #8 to a clean towel, lay it over the stain and then press a warm iron over it. The heat will transfer the stain onto the cloth.

Dingy Baseboards
First, vacuum them using the brush attachment. Then, scrub them from top to bottom using a microfiber rag dipped in warm, soapy water and wrung almost dry. Follow that up with a dry cloth to make sure you didn't leave any water on the wood. Keep a jar of matching paint and small paint brush handy to touch up scrapes and dings. Final tip: Run a dryer sheet along the clean, dried baseboards to repel future dirt.
