The Girl Scouts are turning 100 this year, and there's only one way to celebrate...WITH A NEW COOKIE! Look for Savannah Smiles, a "cool and crisp lemon wedge cookie" named after founder Juliette Gordon Low's home town. (Really? We're celebrating with a lemon wedge cookie? Anyone excited about that?)
VH1 has confirmed that "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" will not be on the schedule next season. (Great, now I only have Jersey Shore to make my life look awesome!)
Love the story about a couple that met after they were randomly selected for a game of Words with Friends. The two were married in July. (Nice to see Words does more than get you kicked off planes!)
Did you hear about the bridal shop catching heat for destroying it's stock of unsold dresses? Priscilla's of Boston is shutting down, and instead of donating the unused dresses, they spray painted them red before tossing them in the dumpster. Why? The company said it was in the contract with the designer. The agreement prevents the dresses from ending up being sold at a low end store for half the price, therefore devaluing the brand. Men and Women Have So Much, Or Maybe Nothing, In Common
Why? Why do they research these things? Why do psychologists have such a difficult time understanding that men and women are really NOT the same and that's a GOOD THING! A new survey concluded the following:The results show that about 18 percent of women share similar personalities with men, and 18 percent of men share similar personalities with women. But the majority of women have personality traits that are quite distinct from those of men, and vice versa, the researchers say.
"Psychologically, men and women are almost a different species," said study researcher Paul Irwing, of the University of Manchester, in the United Kingdom.
In conclusion, says common sense, women are the reason men don't curl up and die, and men give women someone to yell at.
