Coffee Makes You Hear Things
A new study out of Australia connects caffeine and auditory hallucinations. The study asked people to wear headphones and ring a buzzer when they heard Bing Crosby's "White Christmas." All that came through their headphones, though, was white noise. Those who drank at least 13.5 ounces of coffee thought they heard the song and were all over that buzzer -- way more than the coffee drinkers. (It's true! I still think I'm hearing crazy things when the Starbucks lady asks for $3 for a large coffee).
