Today is the D-Day. In 1944, 2,727 ships converged on Normandy carrying 155-thousand fighting men on the first day. 10,000 casualties; 2500 died.
It's also Helicopter Day, celebrating the first copter on this day in 1936. It successfully flew over the city and reported two accidents to the local radio station.

Worse news -- a single mother's health status didn't change even after getting married. Researchers are bracing for more public health problems as more single moms than ever start entering midlife.
