IN SEARCH OF

What folks are Googlin' this morning

"justin bieber syphilis"- #1 search this morning, and no, Justin Bieber does NOT have syphilis.  According to SFGate.com, the ugly smear campaign started with a Facebook page created a month ago where the creator hoped Justin would die of syphilis.  Then yesterday there was a Twitter hash tag created called #syphilis.  After that followed a "flurry of blog posts" reporting either Bieber had it, or didn't have it.  All of this adds up to a #1 ranking on Google this morning asking the question:  "Does Justin Bieber have syphilis?"  No, no he does not.  (Does the average adult understand why he's so popular?  No, no they do not.)

"jimmy dean" - Singer Jimmy Dean died over the weekend.  He was 81.  Yes, he's also the sausage guy.  In 1963, Jimmy hosted a variety show on ABC called "The Jimmy Dean Show," which ran for three years.  That show launched the career of puppeteer Jim Hensen and Rowlf - a piano playing dog.  It was around the same time he started the Jimmy Dean Meat Company, which was sold to Sara Lee in 1984.  He remained its chairman and TV spokesman until recent years.  (He will be wrapped in casing and laid to rest this week)

"tony awards" - The 64th Tony Awards took place at Radio City Music Hall last night and the headlines belong to "Red", which took home six Tonys including Best Play.  "Memphis" was next with 5, including Best Musical, while "Fences" and "La Cage aux Folles" nabbed three apiece.  The Tonys went Hollywood this year with appearances by Scarlette Johansson, Denzel Washington, Viola Davis, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Angela Lansbury and Katie Holmes.

What was the straw that broke the camel's back which drove you to elope?
Ahhhh June... the warm air, the flowers, the weddings that get cancelled because her future mother-in-law refused to come because she didn't want to be seated next to her sister that slept with her first husband.... Ahhhh, weddings.

What made you cancel your wedding and elope?  The final straw?  According to Helium.com, the #1 reason you may want to elope is to control your own wedding day, and you know if friends and family are involved, all control is gone.  Get the rest of the list here.

Kind of makes you envy Carolyn and Audwin, doesn't it?  The two got married over the weekend in a Home Depot.  The vows were swapped inside a wedding arbor in the garden section making the couple is the first in California to marry at a Home Depot store (believe it or not!).  They both work there and pretty much call it home.  100 family, friends and invited customers watched Carolyn stroll down Aisle 1 wearing her beautiful white dress -- and yes - she left her orange smock behind.
