"fess parker" - Fess Parker, the guy who played Daniel Boone on TV in the 50's, died yesterday. He was 85. It was Parker that kicked off the whole coonskin cap fad with kids. Not only caps, but also moccasins, guitars, lunch pails, and "Old Betsy" rifles. It was a marketer's dream! Parker later became a successful winemaker and real estate developer.

A movie...about a blog. Wow. Exciting. Reese Witherspoon has signed on to star in a movie called The Pioneer Woman, based of a blog of the same name written by Ree Drummond. In it, she details how her trip from L.A. to Chicago stopped short in Oklahoma where she met and married a cowboy. Didn't Reese already do this? "Sweet Home Alabama," anyone?
