joke of the day

After many sessions the psychiatrist says to his patient: Congratulations, Sir, you are cured. The patient says: Some cure. Before I was Alexander the Great. Now I’m nobody.

quick laffs...

A Florida woman was arrested for driving 100 mph while blasting her horn, saying God told her to do it. How come God never tells these people to go and volunteer at a soup kitchen or donate some time at a homeless shelter? (credit: jokesbyjim)

A vending machine in California dispenses caviar, truffles and escargot. It’s so expensive that a Nestle $100,000 Bar actually costs $100,000. (credit: jokesbyjim)

Surviving the Holidays

7 ways to escape the holidays debt free... Great tips from Today.com on how to keep your head above water through the holidays.

  1. Prepare a spending plan
  2. Search online for coupons and free shipping (try this app)
  3. Get social (deals through Twitter and Facebook)
  4. Use your rewards (the ones you've been racking up on your credit card
  5. Start early (best bargains are earlier in the day)
  6. Use cash (only shop with the cash you put in an envelope)
  7. Shrink stress (wind down after a long shopping day with a bath...ahhhh)

How to tell if he's already in a relationship...

Think you've met Mr. Wonderful on an online dating site? There's a good chance he's already in a relationship, and here are three signs:
  1. You don't hear from him on the weekends. If he only talks to you during the week, or while traveling, the guy's already hooked up. Avoid the men who will only talk to you during the daytime Monday through Friday.
  2. Mixed messages. If he's cheating, he'll shower you with attention, and then pull away. Shower you with attention and then pull away. Wash, rinse, repeat. Not a good sign.
  3. He's strange about explanations. If he blows you off, it'll either go two ways -- he'll come up with some crazy explanation that you'll bust him on later, or he answers with silence. Either way - not good.

Lost your car? Ask a guy!

Guys may forget their anniversary, but they'll never forget where they parked their car! A new study discovered that men have better spatial memory -- or the memory that is responsible for navigation. How did researchers discover this? They sat outside a mall with a large parking lot and asked shoppers as they were leaving to describe where they parked their car and to estimate the difference. Women used landmarks to describe where they parked, while men remembered by distance. It turns out men were more accurate, and of the 14% of shoppers who were totally lost, most of them were women.
