A survey across 7 countries in Europe found when men do more housework, they have happier marriages..
Forget that. Now we have a NEW study
The new study found that couples who share the housework are more likely to divorce! A Norwegian researcher discovered that the divorce rate was 50% higher for couples that split the household chores than among those where the woman did most of the work.
According to one of the researchers: “One would think that break-ups would occur more often in families with less equality at home, but our statistics show the opposite."
It's not the housework as much as it is the role each person plays in the relationship. There apparently is tension when two people are trying to do the same thing.
"...you can easily get into squabbles if both have the same roles and one has the feeling that the other is not pulling his or her own weight.”
Facebook/Phones: Now we have the difficult challenge to decide which study to believe -- the one that says men who do housework have happy relationships, or the one that says men that do housework are in a doomed relationship. Which one?
