A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales. At one point in the discussion, the teacher remarked that it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow an entire human being because, even though the whale was a very large mammal, its throat was very small.

"But the whale swallowed Jonah," the little girl insisted.

Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human. It was physically impossible, she said.

The little girl said, "When I get to heaven, I will ask Jonah."

The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"

The little girl replied, "Then you ask him."

Beauty Turnoffs from Real Dudes

Yahoo! asked a bunch of "real guys" to share the things women do that make them turn the other way.  Here are a few answers ...

"It gets on my nerves when women take too much time on makeup. You would think after a lifetime they would have the process down to less than 45 minutes!"

"If she has to be at work at 6am and uses the hair dryer, it wakes me up. Then, just when I get back to sleep. She is wearing her heels in the bathroom and the kitchen. Click. Click. Can't you wear slippers?"

"I'm picky about oral hygiene - brushing, flossing, mouthwash. She has to brush her teeth before bed and in the morning before we kiss. That extra care once we reach a certain level of intimacy is important."

"I can't stand when she has wet hair after the shower and lays on my pillow, I usually roll over on the wet spot."

"My wife doesn't dye her hair often enough. I don't like to see those dark roots."

"I don't like extensions because when you put your hands in her hair you can feel all the lumps. It might be good to look at but not to touch."

"My wife spends 20 minutes after the shower putting on body lotion. Apparently it has to be applied evenly. For me, it is just a time suck."

"Excessive tattoos. I think inappropriately placed tattoos are a turnoff. No matter how pretty she is. Plus, they are addictive. You get one, you have to have another."

"They don't put caps back on things or they put it on but they don't screw it on so when I go get something it spills."

"I hate hair all over the sink and floor. I wish women would be mindful of how their beauty products and hair can clog up a common space, especially the bathroom."

The Science of Shopping at Target

We may be split to the bitter end on politics, but we can all agree on one thing:  Target rocks.

We all love Target...so here are some secrets to save big bucks throughout the year:

Tip #1:  Just because something is on clearance doesn't mean that's as low as the price will go -- clearance prices can go to even 90% off.

Here's deep dark secret:  Check if the price ends in a "4."

The "4" means it won't go any lower, but an "8" means it will be marked down again.

Tip #2  Ask a Target employee when certain items get marked marked down because it varies by location, but a few savvy Target shoppers noted that most follow this schedule:

Monday: Children's clothing, baby items, electronics, and office supplies/gift wrap/stationary.
Tuesday: Women's clothing, home decor and domestic items

Wednesday: Men's clothing, toys, food, health and beauty, garden items
Thursday: Housewares, lingerie, shoes, sporting goods, luggage

Friday: Cosmetics, jewelry, hardware, automotive, and home improvement

Tip #3 The best time to shop for toys is in July as the store receives their fall and winter stock.  That's when toys will be marked down by as much as 70%... and if you see a Target employee with a markdown gun, ask if they can mark it down even more... I'm not kidding, it works!
