5 things before you remarry, biggest hotel complaint, and a great resource link for summer songs

Ok, I've decided to temporarily give up on the audio embed and go with a simple link... for now. I will be switching servers in the near future and hope to have something pretty fancy built into the website. So for now, just an audio link. Thanks for all your feedback.

Have a super extended weekend! Think of me during your first cold one!

joke of the day

One summer afternoon, a guy walking along the beach finds a bottle. He pulls out the cork, and a genie appears and tells him he has three wishes. "But," the genie says, "I have to warn you, whatever you receive, your worst enemy will get twice as much as you."

"OK," says the guy, "first, I want ten million dollars." The genie grants the wish and reminds him that his worst enemy now has twenty million dollars.

"Next wish, I want a thirty-room mansion in the Bahamas." The genie builds the mansion for him, and lets him know that his worst enemy now has a home twice as big.

"Fine. For the last wish," the guy picks up a big stick and hands it to the genie, "beat me HALF to death.

Getting Remarried This Weekend?

Are you ready to walk the aisle for a 2nd (3rd or 5th) time? Not before considering the following five:

1. Really know yourself. Understand what did and didn't work in your first marriage, and address the baggage that you're bringing into your second marriage.

2. Talk about the kids. Two of the top reasons why remarriages fail are issues related to finances and children. Dive deep into the details of how you're going to pay for college, for example.

3. Talk about how you'll include your children in the wedding. Make sure they're included in the process.

4. Understand not everyone will be happy on your wedding day. Some children will see it as the permanent end of their biological family. Even your bride or groom may show a moment of sadness (especially if they were single due to a death of a spouse).

5. Learn about all the resources to help blended families. Take advantage of websites (RemarriageWorks.com) and even stepmom coaches to help you along the way. Even if everything is smooth before the wedding, there will be challenges after.
