Climate Change Hurts Teen Girls Most!
If you're a teenage girl, I'd find a place to hide now. According to this article, teenage girls could face the most harm from climate change. You see, in times of extreme crisis, families tend to pull their daughters out of school and may even sell them as "famine brides." Girls may not be taught survival skills - like swimming or tree-climbing. The study's author calls it a "call to action." This is not from The Onion in case you were wondering.
Women Choose the Internet Over Sex
Men aren't the ones obsessed by technology, it's women! A new survey found women are becoming more passionate about the Internet and tech gadgets. Get this:
- 54% of women own smartphones compared to 46% of men
- Women have more friends on social networking sites
- More women than men (75% to 67%) own a gaming app
- It doesn't stop with smartphones, either. More women than men own Nintendo Wii systems.
