According to a new study, in order to increase your odds of having a girl, you must --
A) Be really good looking
B) Conceive during a full moon
C) Eat Mexican food three times a week
Answer
Be really good looking. The study tracked 17-thousand British babies throughout their lives starting in 1958. Their attractiveness was rated by their teachers at age seven. When they turned 45, they were asked about the gender of children they had. Those that were rated as attractive had an equal shot at a son or daughter, but those rated as unattractive usually had boys.
And as they say on TV infomercials, "THERE'S MORE!"

A previous American study suggests women are getting more beautiful over the generations because attractive women are having more children than plain ones -- and most are girls.

Quick! Name three things that make you happy!
Researchers at the University of Rochester discovered three core psychological needs in order for us to be truly happy. No, an iPad isn't one. Here they are:
Autonomy: Having independence over your home or work environment
Competence: Feeling as though you are empowered and capable to do the work in your life and initiate things.
Relatedness: The need for social connection and intimacy
Satisfy all three to be happy. Missing one will leave you unfulfilled. And yes, the iPad would also make me happy.

There's nothing that will put a marriage to the test better than a plane ride with the kids. Have you ever seen happy parents at an airport? If that's coming up for you, here are 5 Ways A Family Can Survive The Holiday Plane Flight from YourTango.com:
Define Roles -- figure out who does what. She breastfeeds, he stands in the bathroom with the baby for an hour making funny faces in the mirror.
Switch Off -- Give each other 15 minute breaks to be alone.
Throw Parenting Values Out the Window -- McDonalds, lots of TV, lots of sugar -- it's all good if it gets you to Chicago.
Compassion -- Understand that the flight is as hard on your partner as it is on you.
Act Like You Are Never Getting Off the Road -- Act like the trip is forever and embrace it. Adjust to it. Then all of a sudden, it's over. Time to plan for the next one!

Pink has already named her baby -- if it's a boy, it's Jameson. If it's a girl...well... they don't know yet. One thing for sure -- nothing weird. Her hubby, Carey, says "he doesn't want kids to have a weird name." We'll find out in six months.
Paul's daughter, Stella McCartney, had her fourth child last Tuesday. She and her hubby named their daughter Reiley.
Rumor control -- The British press reported that Eva Longoria was planning to adopt a child from Haiti. Not true, according to People.com. She's too busy dumping her cheating husband, Tony Parker.
Madonna opened her first "Hard Candy Fitness" gym in Mexico City yesterday. Each client is greeted with a giant Warhol-esque image of Madonna as they walk in. "Our plan is to use Mexico as a place to fine-tune our brand and then expand it to other countries and, in the long term, develop a global brand that includes the United States," she said.
Irvin Kershner, who directed "The Empire Strikes Back," died over the weekend. He was 87. Is this two of three? Irvin Kershner, Leslie Neilsen, and ... who's next?

A man goes to see his bank manager one day and says: “I’d like to start a small business. How do I go about it?”
