Does it creep you out when parents kiss their kids on the lips?

Dumb question?  Not to a woman who wrote to an advice columnist.  Under the name "Want My Husband's Lips for Myself," the woman complained that her man regularly gives a peck on the lips to his 5-year-old daughter.  She explained to him that there should be no lip kissing unless you're married.  She called it a "sexual gesture and very inappropriate."

Okay, I think we can all agree that this woman is a little extreme, but where should we draw the line on lip kissing?  What about in-laws? Is it creepy to see a dad kiss his daughter-in-law on the lips?  Yikes!

What is the main reason you sleep in separate beds?  Has it helped or hurt your relationship?

By 2015, 60% of custom homes will have dual master bedrooms. Why?  Because more and more couples are sleeping in separate beds.  A quarter of couples, in the latest study.

Hollywood types like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, and Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, snooze separately.

Top reasons:
  • Children - 2/3rds allow kids to crawl in bed
  • Technology - some like watching TV, surfing the web, or constantly check their text messages
  • Snoring/gas/sleep apnea

CELEBRITY TWEETS

  • Katherine Heigl covers this month's InStyle magazine to promote her new movie "Life as We Know It."  She also talked about her baby's first words, which weren't mommy, but "Dada."  "The first thing she said was, 'Dada,' and then she'd call everybody else she loved 'Dada...She actually attached to Josh (Kelley) much faster."

  • Discovery has filed a $3-million lawsuit claiming Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand from "Deadliest Catch" jumped ship on a spin-off project.  The "Time Bandit" duo were supposed to film a one-time special called "Hillstranded," documenting their time away from the boat, but supposedly abandoned the project before it was finished.  The Hillstrand's lawyer calls Discovery "greed run amok."more

  • Paris Hilton had to cancel an appearance in Tokyo yesterday after she was held up for unknown reasons at the city's Narita airport.  She was there to promote her fashion line, but it's unknown whether the tour will continue.  go

  • HBO scored its biggest ratings in six years for a premiere on Sunday night when 4.8 million watched "Boardwalk Empire."  The show has already been renewed for a second season. more

  • Speaking of ratings, "Dancing With the Stars" brought in HUGE numbers Monday night.  The premiere of season 10 was watched by 21-million people, topping last fall's start by more than 3-million.

  • CBS had good ratings on Monday, as well, with 11.2 million watching "The Event" and 13.8 watching "Hawaii Five-O."

  • Meanwhile, the "House" premiere, which returned with a romantic Cuddy-House episode, fell 39% from last fall's two-hour season opener.  That may have hurt "Lone Star's" numbers, which weren't good.

  • Check out "The Breakfast Club" stars 25-years later.  The brain, the princess, the basket case and the criminal (otherwise known as Anthony Michael Hall, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy and Judd Nelson) all gathered for a special 25th anniversary screening Monday night.  The only one missing was the athlete -- remember who???   Yep, Emilio Estevez.  Check 'em out here

Now THIS is a new low!

That's a world record, my friend.

It costs twice as much to be an obese woman than an obese man, and 9 times more for women to be obese, rather than just overweight.

WHO SAID IT?

  • Attention Bentley owners, your cars are being recalled. Ha ha!  The problem is that "flying B" logo on the front hood -- it's apparently a danger to pedestrians in a collision.  Because when I get hit by a giant, $200-thousand Bentley, it's the hood ornament that worries me most! more

  • Now this is a bad day!  You've got to check out the picture of a guard rail that went right through the passenger side of a Chevy Suburban.  Adam Dangerfield nodded off behind the wheel before hitting the guard rail which would've killed a passenger instantly had anyone been with him.  Adam obviously used the rumble strips as a snooze alarm.  Lucky kid.
