What folks are googlin' this morning

"48 laws of power" - Power... such a lovely word. Give me MORE (insert evil laugh)! "The 48 Laws of Power" is a big Google search this morning because the book by Peter Greene tackles how people gain power and preserve it (insert evil laugh AGAIN!). The laws come from 4,000 years of history and pull lessons from powerful people like Al Capone, P.T. Barnum and Henry Kissinger. One of the author's biggest lessons is to crawl out of your shell. Isolation exposes you more than it protects you... circulate among people and learn to spot your enemies (again...the laugh).

Here are the top ten "Laws of Power:"

Law 1 Never Outshine the Master
Law 2 Never put too Much Trust in Friends, Learn how to use Enemies
Law 3 Conceal your Intentions
Law 4 Always Say Less than Necessary
Law 5 So Much Depends on Reputation. Guard it with your Life
Law 6 Court Attention at all Cost
Law 7 Get others to do the Work for you, but Always Take the Credit
Law 8 Make other People come to you, use Bait if Necessary
Law 9 Win through your Actions, Never through Argument
Law 10 Infection: Avoid the Unhappy and Unlucky

Some think you should be open about EVERYTHING in a relationship...do you agree?
Interesting list here of what NOT to talk about when it comes to relationships. Here are a few:

-Past relationships: Don't share EVERYTHING about that past relationship - wink wink.
-Visiting places from the past: When visiting places you may have shared special moments with an ex, feel free to KEEP IT TO YOURSELF.
-Keep the price to yourself: If you get a nice gift for your partner, sharing the price of the gift is NOT cool. That spoils all the fun.
-Don't complain about in-laws. 'Nuff said.
-Money: Don't reveal all your inherited assets to your partner early in a relationship.
-Keep your friends secrets to yourself. 'Nuff said.

What song can we play for your baby this morning?
Turns out babies love to dance! A new study found dancing comes naturally to infants. They studied infants between 5-months and 2 years, and found they loved the beat more than the melody. And the more they were able to synchronize their movements with the beat, the more they smiled. What strange song will make your baby smile this morning?

Gisele Bundchen is talking about her baby, Benjamin Rein, in the new issue of Vogue. She says she originally wanted to name him River, but her husband, QB Tom Brady, put the kibosh on that. She says that Benjamin was born in a deep bathtub at their home in Boston overlooking the Charles river. She also talks about snapping back into shape after the baby: "I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week. I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30 pounds."
